“A Million Moments” is a site specific film made for Wyndham Arcade which seeks to explore the ways in which we experience an image in relation to the act of listening to a narration. The film is a development of ideas I was working with when I made "Out in the World : An Exploration of the View", which I made during a residency in Quebec city. This narration was designed as a soundtrack to the window and invited the viewer to deconstruct the view by listening to a narration I had recorded while out walking.

A Million Moments continued to explore the relationship between my voice, the viewer and the act of looking or 'the gaze'. However rather that using a window I made a film which recorded a 20 minute single shot of life in Wyndham Arcade. I then wrote a narration in response to this film which at once seeks to describe what is happening in the moment and at the same time connect this moment to all other moments; making Wyndham Arcade visible through the stories narratives and histories I have discovered during my research, whilst in residence at g/39.
